Child care providers began the year by sitting down with the state of California to resume bargaining.
The state had an entire month to review our true cost of care proposal. And what did they come back with? Nothing! Just questions about what “true cost of care” means. It’s simple: pay providers what it truly costs to deliver quality care and sustain our livelihoods so we can continue doing the work we love.
It’s time for action. No more stalling from the state. This process cannot drag on any longer. We demand they commit to new bargaining dates by Monday, January 13!
