We have won so much through our new union contract we bargained, but the work is not over. That’s why we are calling on Gov. Newsom to honor his commitment to work with us and continue to find long-term solutions that benefit all California families!

It’s time for Governor Newsom to stay true to his word! No more stalling on the progress that providers and families need.
It’s clear the state needs to hear from even more providers, parents, and supporters to make them take action. We’ve seen before that when we speak up in big numbers, we get results!Â
Here is a sample script you can use:
“Hi, Governor Newsom. My name is _______ and I live in _____ County.
You committed to supporting family child care providers in our contract and we are calling on you to honor that commitment now. Work with us through CCPU to make immediate improvements to providers’ access to health care, retirement, and paid time off to keep us doing work we love, and families need.”
After you make your call, make sure that five providers, parents, and/or friends also call Governor Newsom.
It will take all of us to make sure our needs are met. We must continue to put pressure on state leaders!!
