As California child care providers, we work hard to give kids the high-quality care they need and deserve. That’s why we’re standing together to ask Governor Gavin Newsom to sign the Building a Better Early Care and Education System Act (AB378) into law!Â
AB378 will give child care providers like us a strong union and a seat at the table to negotiate better pay, win benefits, improve training, expand access to affordable child care and strengthen our communities.Â
We literally hold the future of our communities in our hands – but too many of us are struggling to afford basic necessities for their own families. What’s more, families across California are facing a crisis in child care. Over one million children can’t access early education. Working parents can’t afford quality care. That’s not right. No matter race, zip code, or religion, ALL children deserve to have a great start in life and to reach their full potential.
